Independent coaches and consultants, mostly. You have things to say and clients who read them. What you do not have is an afternoon a month for plugin updates, theme settings and broken layouts.
A short list of designs, each one finished.
The list stays short on purpose. Typography, spacing, navigation and the phone layout are settled before you arrive. Readers see your name and your colour, and none of ours.
You make four decisions.
A logo or an initial, one accent colour, one of a few type pairings, and a short about section. Every combination has been checked, so there is no way to make it ugly.
A plain page to write on.
Type into it or paste from wherever you write. It saves as you go. Add images, check how it reads on a phone, then publish.
Nobody tells you that the job changes on day one. The work you were good at is now the work you hand to other people.
This is what I ask every new manager to do in the first ninety days. Nothing on the list needs a budget or a title.
